Mir Holistic Private Limited, a Kochi based start up health care tourism and Ayurvedic Company, will set up a traditional Ayurvedic panchakarma treatment and massage centre in Sri Lanka, for the benefit of the current crop of players and budding cricketers in Sri Lanka.
Mir Ayurkendra will come up at the Rs.50 crore spent Fingara Cricket Academy in Colombo, promoted by former Sri Lankan cricket all rounder Tony Opatha in association with Celinco, one among the leading business houses in Sri Lanka.
Mir will set up the Ayurkendra at the academy in tune to the traditional panchakarma treatment methods of Kerala, including ensuring traditional ayurvedic treatment and massage offered by masseurs, oils, herbs and doctors from Kerala. Ayurvedic therapies and rejuvenation packages will be offered to the budding cricketers at the academy, besides to existing players.
Talking to Pharmabiz in Chennai recently, K Arun Kumar, managing director of Mir said the centre would soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on this with Tony Opatha, and the various packages were being worked out.
He said Opatha, who also coached Holland's national cricket team and various clubs for the last 24 years, had recently visited Kerala to identify the partner.
